Community Libraries are part of each Local Authority (Community Councils) to which they belong.
Both the management and the development of their collections cover a whole range of thematic categories, providing access to extensive knowledge material, which is enriched according to the information needed by the users that they serve.

Καλωσορίσατε στον Ενιαίο Κατάλογο Κοινοτικών Βιβλιοθηκών
Ως Κοινοτικές Βιβλιοθήκες, ορίζονται οι Βιβλιοθήκες των οποίων η σύσταση και λειτουργία εντάσσεται στο ευρύτερο διοικητικό πλαίσιο της εκάστοτε τοπικής Αρχής στην οποία υπάγονται.
Τόσο η διαχείριση όσο και η ανάπτυξη των συλλογών τους επικεντρώνεται σε υλικό που αφορά την τοπική Κοινότητα, καλύπτοντας σημαντικούς τομείς πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς όπως λαογραφία, παράδοση, τοπική εκδοτική παραγωγή κ.ά.
Ταυτόχρονα παρέχουν πρόσβαση σε διάφορες κατηγορίες υλικού με απώτερο σκοπό τη συνεχή αναβάθμιση του πνευματικού και μορφωτικού επιπέδου των Κοινοτήτων που εξυπηρετούν.
